In an effort to get our New Media group more connected with one another ... why not try using this amazing blog portion of the UFVA site?
I would love to hear what is new and exciting, not just at the conference, but during the entire year. I propose that we try using this blog as a way of idea sharing, technical questions, new and exciting things in the world, etc. Think of it as a group specific Facebook.
I know we don't all check this every day, but perhaps we can get it up and running and learn some new things about each other outside of the conference.
Another thought I have been having is regrading the New Media Caucus meeting. I know we generally discuss how the conference is working for representing New Media, but maybe we can expand and have discussions of what is happening with New Media across all the mediums. I know, based on several conversations at last year's conference, that many member's are still very unclear as to what New Media is all about. Maybe we can help to change that by encouraging more member's to attend the New Media exhibition space and engaging them in conversation about the work and why it is important to the UFVA mission.
