The successful candidate will teach a variety of production classes. For this position, a “hands on” comfort with technology and a willingness to "get into the trenches” with students are required. Being a problem solver and good team player is a must as there are collaborations within all areas of the school.
We are looking for a creative, engaging and inventive colleague who can help us prepare our students to become stand-out production talent in the entertainment industry.
A master’s degree is preferred; a bachelor’s degree is required.

Job Specific Qualifications:
The TRF Department prides itself on providing students a broad lens of storytelling practices and technologies to maximize present and future professional outcomes.
Candidates therefore should have national-level professional experience in some aspect of conventional film and/or television and at least one emerging avenue of production, such as AI, gaming, VR, AR, etc. We will look to this faculty member to bolster students’ understanding of and confidence in cutting-edge aspects of production practice, while also connecting emerging technologies to enhancement the storytelling experiences for users and the intended audience.
The department also seeks applicants with either a strong teaching record or the potential to be an excellent teacher.
This faculty member will teach three classes per semester in our two-semester academic year. Course responsibilities will be across the spectrum, from introductory to advanced-level, based on the professor’s areas of expertise.
This faculty member will also be expected to perform a variety of service duties, including academic and career advising of undergraduate and graduate students, school and university committee work and community engagement.
