Provide leadership, representation, and strategic direction in the delivery of activities, programs and services of the Technical Operations department within the Roy H. Park School of Communications. Direct the operation of facilities and delivery of services related to the instructional and student media use of studios, laboratories, classrooms and equipment. Oversee the acquisition, design, installation, operation, maintenance, and support of all media production related facilities. Ensure the effective use and updated planning of equipment, space and materials and collaborate on the development of safety and risk management initiatives. Develop and implement a program of technical education, consultation, service and support. Administer the Technology Operations department budget and prepare acquisitions and authorize equipment purchases. Serve as an ambassador and representative of the School’s leadership team to college and external audiences (vendors, donors, peers in other institutions, guests, other college administrators).



Bachelor’s degree in communications or closely related field an a minimum of 5 years’ experience in executing and coordinating professional level media productions and staff; experience in researching and coordinating ongoing upgrades of media facilities and systems; ability to manage multiple projects involving allocation of budgetary and staff resources and collaboration with multiple stakeholders; ability to bring professional media production experience to bear in providing informal instruction and consultation to faculty, staff, and students; excellent organizational, analytical, coaching, written and verbal communication skills; ability to cultivate an inclusive, diverse and welcoming environment; ability to treat all people equitably and with a sensitivity and awareness to cultural difference; demonstrated ability to hold others accountable for behavior that is supportive of a community that is diverse and inclusive are required. Previous experience working in a college or university setting is preferred.
