The Surplus Line Association of California is seeking a positive, creative, and motivated team-player to join our Digital Communications Department as Director of Photography/Digital Media Producer.

The Digital Communications team is responsible for producing and delivering media via an NDI-based streaming video studio as well as field production, and event video. The Digital Communications team is also responsible for producing educational content for our members and highlighting our staff on social media.

Candidates should have knowledge of uses, operations, and maintenance of a wide variety of technical audio and video production equipment, including digital video and audio technology, video and audio editing equipment, microphones, lighting, graphic production equipment and teleconference/pod cast equipment.

Other duties include contributing to meetings and debriefs, organizing/maintaining production equipment and video libraries, assisting with set load-in/strike, meeting production expectations, and providing frequent status updates on assignments.

 

CANDIDATE MUST:

• Collaborate at a high-level on a team

• Think creatively and add value

• Have expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere

• Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and other CS products

• Ability to work collaboratively on a team!

• Proven experience in telling stories through design, photography, and video

• Working knowledge of video and audio production equipment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• A sense of timing, an eye for details, as well as cinematic flair

• Excellent problem-solving ability

• Able to contribute to the creative process and assist in elevating content needs

• Strong organization and multitasking skills

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

• Hybrid schedule of telecommuting and working in-studio pending COVID-19 restrictions

Travel:

• Required
