Dear Colleagues,

My name is Prof. Idit Dvir and I'm a member of Women in Media, a non-profit organization that encourages gender balance in film and entertainment industries by providing networking, professional development, and advocacy for above and below the line women.

I'm helping to spearhead the WiM CAMERAderie Initiative, which is a new short film contest for our membership where we select 3 short film scripts (10 pages max) and provide money and resources to film them this summer in Los Angeles. We will host a screening of the completed films in the fall and select a winning short which will receive a prize package of resources to help them get a feature off the ground. We' will be announcing this program by the end of this week. Which means scripts will start to roll in. Please see attached literature for further details.

We are looking for judges – male or female, academia and/or professionals – to judge the script submissions competing for the production prize. Reading will take place between June 1 - 14. We will provide criteria and a rubric for judging.

Interested parties can email me at howardvir@gmail.com

Sincerely,
Idit Dvir
