There's film - and a LOT more - in Lansing, Michigan. We've bragged about it for 10 years here at the Capital City Film Festival. Landing on the list of Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World by MovieMaker Magazine and being awarded Arts & Cultural Organization of the Year by our regional arts community feels good, but it feels extra sweet when we have an outstanding crop of projects to share with our audiences. Why submit? Let's see...

CCFF shines bright. We boast a strong decade of work and redefine film festivals' place in society. This isn't a festival where your project screens to a subdued audience in a traditional theater setting. We don't even *have* an independent theater in town (but P.S. We're working on that). We transform unique spaces around town into immersive theaters, and it's awesome. We push the creative output of our great mitten state with the Fortnight Film Contest, feature live musicians who transcend genres, program educational opportunities to draw in families of all shapes and sizes, and make space for that extra weird stuff that doesn't 'fit' anywhere else. Oh - and possibly the best part? Our ticket prices are super affordable and many events are free, because we believe art is for all.

When the dust settles and the poetry of these experiences are cemented in our memories, this community's audiences will be forever moved by the projects presented. Join us April 9-18, 2020 as we celebrate 10 years of the Capital City Film Festival!
